  • Scott Wittkop

    Scott Wittkop, currently serves as the corporate president and chief operating officer for McCarthy, overseeing all operations for the builder's divisions and affiliates. In addition to construction operations, he is responsible for all corporate functions including developing new market areas, overseeing employee training, human resources, information technology, risk management, corporate communications and enhancing safety and quality programs.

    Scott joined McCarthy as a project engineer in 1986. He has spent the last 26 years moving up through the ranks of the organization, relocating for the company nine times to manage projects around the Central Division. He most recently served as president of the McCarthy Central Division prior to assuming his current role.

    The first non-McCarthy family member to lead the company as its chief executive, Mike Bolen has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. In his current role, Mike directs the company's strategic planning efforts.

    Prior to the CEO position, Mike was the company's Pacific Region President and served as executive vice president of operations and senior vice president of construction services. He joined McCarthy's Phoenix office as a carpenter superintendent in 1981 and later was director of operations for McCarthy's parking division.

    Stacy Robben is responsible for generating building opportunities for McCarthy and developing strong relationships with industry partners throughout a multi-state region. In addition, she provides leadership for McCarthy’s Collinsville, Ill., office.

    Stacy is a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) accredited professional by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). She is past president of the St. Louis chapter of Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM). In addition, she is a member of the Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois, American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), CityArchRiver2015 Citizen Advisory Committee and former Advisory Board member of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Construction Leadership Institute.

Jim's diverse experience includes project management, safety, risk management, business transactions, contracts and human resources.

    A long-time Associated General Contractors (AGC) Houston supporter, Jim currently is serving on both the Board of Directors and Executive Board. He is also chairman of an important Houston industry initiative called the Construction Career Collaborative (C3), which is developing strategy and implementing criteria to create a sustainable craft workforce.

    Jim leads the business development efforts for the Advanced Technology & Manufacturing business unit of McCarthy.

    Jim has 32 years of experience in the construction industry working on projects across the nation. He has worked on major building projects for a variety of Fortune 500 companies and nationally-recognized institutions including Cornell University, US Department of Agriculture, Washington University in St. Louis, Mercy Hospital System, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy, Pfizer and Monsanto. He has served as an architectural project manager, construction project manager, chief estimator and preconstruction director for both small and mega-building contractors.

    Jim serves on the St. Louis County Business Expansion and Retention Committee and is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America, Construction Management Association of America, Associated General Contractors and is a voting member for the Global Lab of the Year Award.  

    Jim has authored or co-authored numerous technical journal articles related to laboratories and other technical facilities as well as presented at professional conferences.

    Scott Canada oversees McCarthy’s renewable energy projects in the Southwestern U.S., with a focus on the solar marketplace. Scott has nearly two decades of experience in the energy industry and is certified as an Energy Manager and Power Quality Professional through the Association of Energy Engineers, along with holding his LEED AP BD+C designation.

    Early in his career, Scott gained renewable energy experience with renewable energy working for Arizona Public Service. He expanded his knowledge by managing large utility scale EPC solar projects and overseeing a detailed utility impact study on the value solar brings to utility distribution, transmission and generation systems. Today, Scott’s deep technical understanding of the solar marketplace is something clients and partners have come to count on in this continuously evolving marketplace.

    Chad Dorgan directs McCarthy’s quality, sustainability and virtual design & construction programs nationwide. Since joining McCarthy in 2005, Chad has been instrumental in formalizing the company’s innovative Quality Without Question program, focused on consistently constructing the best buildings in America. This effort includes the integration of virtual design & construction into our core company procedures. As a LEED AP BD+C, Chad also serves as the chairperson of McCarthy’s Green Steering Committee, overseeing the development and implementation of all green policies, procedures and training.

    During Chad’s 20-plus-year career in the engineering, consulting and construction industries, he spent four of these as a mechanical engineer in the US Air Force and the next 12 as president of Dorgan Associates, a consulting firm focused on the transfer of technology from research to application, and the development and implementation of the commissioning process for governments, institutions and corporations. This effort included authoring ten books, dozens of papers, and being a leader in establishing the commissioning prerequisite and credit in the USGBC LEED rating systems.

    Chad is Fellow member with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), winning a variety of awards including the ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award and the Building Commissioning Association Benner Award for the best-of-the-best in making commissioning “business as usual” in the entire industry. He is also a member of the American Society for Quality, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Society of American Military Engineers and the Construction Specifications Institute.

    With nearly 25 years of construction industry experience, Robert Betz joined McCarthy in 1994, serving in various leadership roles for the firm’s Southern California Division. In his position as executive vice president, Bob is responsible for establishing strong relationships with clients and partners in the San Diego region, along with overseeing the overall operations of McCarthy’s San Diego office. 

    Bob has played an integral role in the successful completion of a variety of large-scale McCarthy construction projects in San Diego and Orange counties. He has also been instrumental in establishing McCarthy among the top green builders in the region and helped lead the division’s use of leading technology on jobsites. He holds certificates of Construction Technology, OSHA 500 Construction Safety, and OSHA 501 General Industry Safety from the University of California, San Diego.

  • Kevin Kuntz

Kevin spent 13 years in St. Louis where he ran the operations for the Central Division before moving to Atlanta to start the Southeast Division.

  • Rich Henry

    Rich Henry is responsible for overseeing all McCarthy operations in the Northern Pacific region. He has been with McCarthy for his entire career, starting as a project engineer, and then working his way up as project manager, senior project manager, project director and vice president. Rich has worked on a wide variety of projects including hospitals, microelectronics facilities, convention centers, research laboratories and parking structures, and he has also been instrumental in establishing McCarthy as a leader in K-12 and higher education facility school construction.

    Rich is an active board member of the California Construction Employers Association and the San Francisco Bay Area Council. In 2013, he was inducted into the Academy of Civil Engineers at the Missouri University of Science & Technology in recognition of his contribution to the construction industry and his community. He is also a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the East Bay Chapter of the American Heart Association.

    As a vice president in McCarthy’s Northern Pacific Division, Frances Choun develops and maintains business relationships with clients throughout the region. Her strong leadership has greatly contributed to the division’s overall growth, and after almost two decades with McCarthy, has helped propel us forward as one of the largest commercial contracting firms in California.

    Frances launched her career in architecture, where she developed an interest in the construction side of the business. Her exposure to the construction industry eventually led to her career transition. As an industry expert, she is regularly called upon by local, trade and national media to address new and projected trend, and is considered a pioneer in advancing women in the construction field. She was recently honored as a “Forever Influential Woman of Influence in Business” by the San Francisco Business Times.

    Having served in many leadership capacities for professional industry groups, Frances is the past president of the Commercial Real Estate Women’s (CREW) San Francisco Chapter, former president of the board for the San Francisco Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center, and recent board member of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) San Francisco Chapter. She is currently on the construction management advisory board for the City College of San Francisco.

    Kevin Maitland is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of McCarthy’s national safety program and the firm’s document administration function to maintain all company policies and procedures. He brings more than 30 years total construction experience to his role, 22 of these with McCarthy. Prior to assuming his current position, Maitland served as McCarthy’s Central Division Safety Director, overseeing McCarthy's safety policies, working closely with trade partners, clients and OSHA to ensure safe jobsites, and ensuring procedures were developed and implemented throughout each project in the region.

    Among other industry involvement, Maitland was formerly the chairman of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri Executive Safety & Health Committee and is a current committee member. He also serves on the OSHA Partnership Committee and as a Substance Abuse Consortium Trustee with the organization. He served as chairman of the Safety & Crime Prevention Committee for Southern Illinois Builders Association for three years and is a current active committee member. He is also a board member for the Safety Council of Greater St. Louis and company representative with the National Construction Safety Executives. Maitland has been a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers for 23 years.
