In addition to having built a number of facilities at various Sentara facilities, McCarthy was recently selected to build three significant new facilities: a $70 million heart pavilion addition including heart center, parking garage and an MOB at Sentara Norfolk General in Norfolk; a $30 million bed tower addition and emergency expansion and renovation at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach; and a $70 million replacement hospital at Sentara Williamsburg Community Hospital in Williamsburg.

$79 million 7-story, 480,000 sf, design-build facility is a comprehensive ambulatory center housing primary and specialty ambulatory care including 180 exam rooms; outpatient surgery and recovery; complete diagnostic capabilities, including a CAT scanner, PET scanner and MRI equipment; and other patient support services. The facility won the DBIA Award for Excellence.

Alegent Health

$105 million 443,000 sf of new construction and 158,000 sf of renovation work spread out over Alegent's four medical centers in the greater Omaha area. Included in the effort is construction of six major structures, the vertical expansion of an existing radiology building, along with significant site and physical plant work. The majority of the work - all to be completed by August 2005 - is being done in and around operational facilities.

St. John's Mercy Medical Center

McCarthy has built a significant portion of the St. John's campus over the last 20 years, the most recent project being a $20 million 2-story vertical expansion and seismic upgrades of the existing Patient Tower C.

Comprehensive $165 million Cancer Center addition of 4 floors for labs and offices, an expansion of the emergency/surgery facility, a new 7-story, ambulatory care center, and a 550-car parking structure.
