The Pacific Division was established in 1984 to provide the entire range of McCarthy services to clients in California. McCarthy has conducted business in the state since 1908.
The Sacramento office was established in 1991 to serve the Northern Pacific United States. The San Francisco office was established in 1995 to serve San Francisco proper and the surrounding Bay Area communities. In February 1999, the Pacific Division split, creating a Southern California Division (south of Bakersfield) with an office in Newport Beach and a Northern Pacific Division (north of Bakersfield) with offices in Sacramento and San Francisco.
At present, the staff of more than 100 office and field professionals is involved in 20 projects in various phases of preconstruction and construction totaling over $800 million in contract value.
