PROJECT DETAILS
26 mgd expansion to increase reservoir capacity. Project required integration with Peoria's distribution system and a three-month schedule acceleration. The expansion included the design of conventional WTP process basins, new dual media filters, chlorine facilities and emergency chlorine gas scrubber, washwater recovery basins, a 10 mg treated water reservoir, and distribution system improvements.
The project was awarded the Excellence in Environmental Engineering Grand Prize in Design American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
