McCarthy was recently selected to oversee a number of physical renovations and enhancements at several Sedona-Oak Creek Unified School District facilities.
The $36 million projects include classroom renovations, additions and energy efficiencies at Big Park Elementary School, West Sedona Elementary School, Red Rock High School and the Brewer Road District Office. Anticipated start of construction is in June, with phased construction taking place through the summer of 2010.
The project management firm is Tempe-based PinnacleOne and the architect is Phoenix-based Orcutt/Winslow Partnership.
The Sedona-Oak Creek schools project is the latest addition to McCarthy’s growing portfolio of education projects, which includes major renovations at Scottsdale’s Chaparral High School, the Glendale Union High School District, and construction of new schools for growing suburban areas in Florence, Chandler and Maricopa.
