McCarthy was recently selected by the American Subcontractor Association’s (ASA) Sacramento Chapter as General Contractor of the Year for 2010 in the Large General Contractor category. McCarthy recently received the recognition at an awards dinner held at the Radisson Hotel in Sacramento.
According to Rich Henry, president of McCarthy’s Northern Pacific Division, “This is certainly a great way to wrap up 2010. We are honored to receive this award and are reminded that the subcontractor community allows us to be in business. We are grateful to be recognized by them for our efforts.”

ASA members are asked to nominate GC’s based on nine areas of criteria ranging from reasonableness of contracts and safety precautions to the handling of change orders and job site security, among others.
