The TEXO Association appointed McCarthy Texas Division President Mike McWay as chairman of this year’s directorial board. McWay will be responsible for managing a 26-member, volunteer board of directors who work together to establish association policies and strategies.
“I am honored to serve as this year’s chairman of TEXO and to be able to work with the board, members and staff to further its mission to create an outstanding construction community,” said McWay. “I’m looking forward to helping the association grow and unify the construction community.”
TEXO is the largest commercial contractors association in Texas and one of the largest associations affiliated with both the national Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). It serves a membership of more than 1,900 commercial contractors. The mission of TEXO is to work together to build the best construction community through unity and leadership.
An active member of TEXO for more than a decade, McWay most recently served as president-elect and has served on the board for the past six years. McWay also acts as an advisory member of the Construction Industry Outreach Advisory Council (CIOAC) and has served on the advisory board of First Tee of Dallas for the last seven years. He has been with McCarthy for 30 years in numerous roles within the company, supervising some of the firm’s most notable projects including the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Terminal D, the W Dallas Victory Hotel & Residences and the AT&T Performing Arts Center Dee & Charles Wyly Theatre.
