The award was presented during the Training 2011 Conference & Expo in San Diego, Calif., recognizing the top companies based on excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs. A first-time applicant, McCarthy placed 112th on the prestigious list.

McCarthy Named General Contractor of the Year in Sacramento by the American Subcontractor Association
McCarthy was recently selected by the American Subcontractor Association’s (ASA) Sacramento Chapter as General Contractor of the Year for 2010 in the Large General Contractor category. McCarthy recently received the recognition at an awards dinner held at the Radisson Hotel in Sacramento.

The Hispanic Contractors Association of Georgia (HCAG) recently honored McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. with a Commercial Safety Award at their 5th Annual Awards Banquet for the builder’s proactive approach to safety. Gold Award for Safety
McCarthy was awarded a Safety Through Exemplary Performance (STEP) Gold Award by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center for the firm’s work on the Albert B. and Margaret M. Alkek Hospital expansion in Houston.

McCarthy Wins Southeast Construction’s Award for Best Higher Education/Research Building
Southeast Construction recently honored McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. with its 2010 Best of Higher Education/Research Building award for the builder’s work on the Georgia State University (GSU) Parker H. Petit Science Building. McCarthy broke ground the project in December 2007 with Atlanta architect HDR/CUH2A and completed the 350,000-square-foot project, totaling $125 million in construction costs, in April. The annual competition recognizes construction and design excellence in the four-state region that includes Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
