The Nevada Division Heart Hats Committee recently organized a Community Day to benefit its focus school partner, Paradise Professional Development Elementary School. Nearly two dozen employees of the Las Vegas office gathered to work some McCarthy magic on the at-risk elementary school. The McCarthy maintenance makeover included hanging art, display cases, smart boards, white boards, unloading and assembling furniture, painting walls and shelves and cleaning out the school’s storage area.

McCarthy “Heart Hats” to the Rescue

food-drive-1Employees from McCarthy and its local construction sites recently gathered and donated approximately 1,000 pounds of much needed food and supplies to the Orange County Rescue Mission. This philanthropy was a part of McCarthy’s employee volunteer “Heart Hats” community service program.

Habitat for Humanity and McCarthy Heart Hats are a Perfect Valentine’s Day Combination

Habitat for Humanity and the Heart Hat volunteers of McCarthy were meant to go together.  Beginning February 14 and continuing through mid-May, volunteers from McCarthy are spending their Saturdays building a new home for a U.S. Army veteran and his young family.

Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego Honors McCarthy Team as Top Fundraiser for Shamu Walk

A team of 75 employees at McCarthy were honored recently by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego for raising a total of $13,725 as part of its second annual SeaWorld Shamu & You Family Walk benefiting the hospital.  McCarthy’s “Rady Children’s Hospital Construction Team” raised the largest amount by a single team.

McCarthy Heart Hat Program Touches Hillside Hospital

When McCarthy works on a project their employees become a part of the community. Everyone at McCarthy is encouraged to take a paid day off to volunteer manpower on the local Community Day activity selected each year.
