McCarthy prides itself on being a community builder. Chances are you have heard stories about ‘when McCarthy comes into a community it becomes part of the community.’ That was the case on a Saturday in April when a group of McCarthy employees took part in Rebuilding Together – St. Louis. A team headed up by Midwest Estimators braved the elements and took on the task of rebuilding a home in North St. Louis County.

McCarthy “Heart Hats” Build New Outdoor Pathways, Patio and Elevator
McCarthy Heart Hats volunteers recently conducted construction work along with Jezowski & Markel Contractors/Marne Construction, Conco Concrete Pumping, Standard Concrete, Pinnacle Disposal and California Sanitation at the family home of Alec (Bunk) Wurth in Orange, Calif.
Bunk suffered a serious spinal cord injury in 2006 and is paralyzed from the shoulders down. McCarthy “Heart Hats” learned about Bunk’s need for construction assistance at his home from a McCarthy employee who is a good friend of Bunk’s.
