McCarthy was awarded an additional $9.8 million work in the Frauenshuh Medical Office Building for Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mount Vernon, Ill. The new contract includes 70,000 square feet of fit out, including Garden, Level 1 and Level 3 of the 141,000-square-foot building. The medical office building is connected to the hospital and includes a surgery center, laboratories, rehabilitation suite, exam rooms and outpatient diagnostic services.

Camp Pendleton Naval Replacement Hospital Project Tops Out
McCarthy, in joint venture with Clark Construction Group, LLC, has topped out today on the 500,000-square-foot Naval Replacement Hospital Project at Camp Pendleton, having erected more than 4,000 tons of structural steel to reach the milestone. The design-build construction team, with Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest, marked the completion of the project’s structure with a jobsite lunch and celebration.

The design/build team of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., and TAYLOR, are working with St. Joseph Health System to build a new patient tower, parking structure and central utility plant at the St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, Calif. Located on the northern side of the existing medical campus at Bastanchury Road and Harbor Boulevard, site preparation has been underway since December 2010, and the new tower officially broke ground during a private ceremony on September 25, 2011.
