Michael J. Gritters to lead McCarthy Healthcare Business Unit in Southern California

McCarthy, one of the nation’s leading healthcare builders, announced today that Michael Gritters has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Healthcare Services for the firm’s Southern California Division. The change takes place as Steven Mynsberge, who previously served in this role, retired in December 2012 after 33 years at McCarthy.

Integrated Project Delivery and Innovative Technology Tools Foster Team Success on New Children’s Hospital Colorado East Tower

Children’s Hospital Colorado marked its fifth anniversary on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colo., by announcing the official completion of a new 10-story, East Tower addition completed by the joint venture team of McCarthy and GH  Phipps Construction Companies. The tower project reunited the joint venture with design partners H+L Architecture and ZGF Architects LLP, the same design and construction team that completed Children’s in 2007. The new 335,000-square-foot tower was completed under an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) tri-party agreement that minimized cost and schedule risk for the hospital.

Camp Pendleton Hospital Project $270 Million Strong

Clark/McCarthy Joint Venture for replacement Naval Hospital project celebrates two-year contract anniversary

On September 1, 2010, Navy Facilities Engineering Command Southwest (NAVFAC) awarded a contract with a total value of $451 million to the Clark/McCarthy Joint Venture (CMJV) to build the Replacement Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton that will replace the existing Naval Hospital. Two years later, the CMJV and hospital team is 70 percent into the build, with more than $270 million worth of work in place.
