Recreation & Wellness Center at Sacramento State Completed
McCarthy and Tony Moayed Construction Services, Inc. (TMCS) have completed construction on California State University, Sacramento’s (Sacramento State) 151,000-square-foot recreation and wellness center, named The WELL (Wellness, Education, Leisure, Lifestyle).
Mercy Medical Center Completed
McCarthy has completed construction on the new $166 million Mercy Medical Center replacement hospital in Merced, Calif. A Catholic Healthcare West (CHW) affiliate, the Mercy Medical Center opened on Apr. 23 and consolidates two existing campuses into one facility that includes an eight-level, 185-bed, 266,000-square-foot general acute tower, as well as a 19,000-square-foot central plant.
Sacramento’s School of Engineering and Sciences Opens for Winter Term
Regent Development and McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. have completed the Sacramento City Unified School District’s (SCUSD) new campus for the School of Engineering and Sciences, which opened to students in January 2010 for the winter term. The five-building, 39,681-square-foot campus on Havenside/Gloria Drive near Florin Road replaces the temporary campus and will house up to 500 students, grades 7-12. WLC Architects designed the campus.
