McCarthy was recently selected by the American Subcontractor Association’s (ASA) Sacramento Chapter as General Contractor of the Year for 2010 in the Large General Contractor category. McCarthy recently received the recognition at an awards dinner held at the Radisson Hotel in Sacramento.

Community Days in Northern California Kick Off the Spirit of the Season
The Northern Pacific Division of McCarthy kicked off the 2010 holiday season by giving back to our respective communities.
In Sacramento, 50 McCarthy volunteers rallied together to assist the local Ronald McDonald House with some much-needed repair. A member of the local community since 1998, the Sacramento facility provides a “home away from home” for families who have children being treated in one of five Sacramento hospitals, including: UC Davis Medical Center, Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, Mercy, Kaiser Permanente, and Sutter Medical Center.

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. (www.mccarthy.com), one of the nation’s top green commercial builders, has announced the firm’s formal commitment to the Green Building Certification Institute’s Credentialing Maintenance Program for the firm’s 400+ LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs). Credential maintenance is the continuing education completed by LEED Professionals to maintain current knowledge of green building practices and LEED in a constantly evolving industry.
