McCarthy celebrates the topping out of an inpatient mental health center for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System.

McCarthy recently topped out the future 90,000-square-foot, 80-bed Inpatient Mental Health Center for the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS), which broke ground last summer. The topping out event included a number of dignitaries, including Senator Barbara Boxer who spoke at the ceremony while construction crews set the last beam in place and added her signature to the project’s final steel beam.

McCarthy, Oakland USD and GKK Works Join Forces to Beautify Five Oakland Schools

Students, faculty and staff at five Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) schools returned to the 2010/2011 school year with newly landscaped campuses. McCarthy’s “Tools for Schools” Program, in conjunction with GKK Works and OUSD’s Division of Facilities, Planning and Management, sponsored and organized a volunteer landscaping initiative in preparation for the new school year.
