Mission Hospital’s New Patient Care Tower Tops Out

McCarthy, one of the nation’s largest builders of healthcare facilities, recently topped out the new Mission Hospital Patient Care Tower when steel workers from Schuff Steel placed the final structural steel I-beam on the braced-frame steel structure. Steel workers on the project placed approximately 1,000 tons of structural steel while constructing the tower’s frame.

McCarthy Named Construction and Project Manager for Paramount High School Expansion

McCarthy has been awarded the construction contract for a three-phase expansion of Paramount High School in Paramount, Calif.  Over the course of the next two years, McCarthy will handle the construction of a stadium and athletic complex under phase I and a stadium field house under phase II, as well as a brand new science building, mini gym and the renovation of existing academic and athletic facilities under phase III.  As project manager, the firm has already been working with LPA Architects for the planning of the $70 million program.

McCarthy Completes $170 Million Huntington Memorial Hospital West Tower

McCarthy, one of Southern California’s preeminent healthcare builders, has completed its fourth major project for Huntington Memorial Hospital three months ahead of schedule. The $170 million, 237,734-square-foot West Tower, designed by HDR Inc. of Pasadena, Calif., is the final phase of the hospital’s master planned development.
