McCarthy Completes Construction of LEED-Designed Soka University Performing Arts Center and Academic Building
McCarthy recently completed construction of Soka University of America’s new Performing Arts Center and Academic Building project, located on 1.9 acres of the Soka University campus in Aliso Viejo, Calif. Scheduled to open in October 2011, the new Performing Arts Center is designated to become a venue in South Orange County for concerts, theater productions, lectures and assemblies, enhancing Soka University’s role as a cultural center and community gathering place.
Madison School District in Phoenix Breaks Ground on Newest Elementary School
The Madison School District community gathered today to break ground on the new Madison Traditional Academy (MTA). McCarthy is serving as the general contractor for the project. The site, located at 10th Street and Maryland in Phoenix, was acquired as a permanent site for the traditional school which has been leasing an office building for several years.
Community Days in Northern California Kick Off the Spirit of the Season
The Northern Pacific Division of McCarthy kicked off the 2010 holiday season by giving back to our respective communities.
In Sacramento, 50 McCarthy volunteers rallied together to assist the local Ronald McDonald House with some much-needed repair. A member of the local community since 1998, the Sacramento facility provides a “home away from home” for families who have children being treated in one of five Sacramento hospitals, including: UC Davis Medical Center, Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, Mercy, Kaiser Permanente, and Sutter Medical Center.
McCarthy Constructing a New High School for Palm Springs Unified School District
McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. www.mccarthy.com, one of the premier school builders in the U.S., is constructing the $99.3 million high school in Rancho Mirage. Calif., for Palm Springs Unified School District (PSUSD). The 332,000-square-foot high school is being constructed on 60 plus acres near DaVall Drive and Ramon Road in the city of Rancho Mirage.
