Bayport Terminal Complex Extension Will Allow for Substantial Increase in Cargo Traffic
McCarthy, a Texas builder since 1980, has begun construction on the Port of Houston Bayport Terminal Complex Phase I Wharf. The project, valued at over $100 million, will include a 1,332-foot extension to the existing Bayport Terminal Complex. The Bayport Terminal Complex comprises chemical and chemical specialty facilities operated by more than 70 U.S. and foreign companies.

McCarthy employees recently participated in the hit TV show, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” which presented a deserving Fresno, Calif., family with the home of their dreams. The ABC show is centered on the requirement that the demolition of the original house and construction of the new house be completed in just seven days.

McCarthy Heart Hats in Las Vegas and the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) teamed up with the Girl Scouts of Frontier Council for Junior Badge Bonanza.
Las Vegas Community Day
The Nevada Division Heart Hats Committee recently organized a Community Day to benefit its focus school partner, Paradise Professional Development Elementary School. Nearly two dozen employees of the Las Vegas office gathered to work some McCarthy magic on the at-risk elementary school. The McCarthy maintenance makeover included hanging art, display cases, smart boards, white boards, unloading and assembling furniture, painting walls and shelves and cleaning out the school’s storage area.
