PROJECT DETAILS

This critical care hospital addition allows Mission Hospital to provide the most advanced high-tech diagnostic and critical care services to its growing community. The 106,465-sf, four-level patient care tower more than doubles Mission's intensive-care capacity while providing the newest, state-of-the-art medical technology and services to the existing 301-bed hospital.

The new facility houses medical/surgical beds, ICU beds, diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, a linear accelerator, a chapel, a meditation garden and mechanical space in the basement. The project included construction of an underground tunnel and a 175-foot-long pedestrian bridge, connecting the new patient tower with the main hospital building on the third floor. McCarthy also completed 11 months of significant site work including installation of new utilities, re-configuring the entrance to the hospital and parking lot and demolishing an existing two-story conference center.
