PROJECT DETAILS
The 350,000-sf, Heart Hospital is a part of the St, John's Mercy Medical Center master plan. The building, located on the west side of the St. John's campus, includes a new emergency trauma and outpatient diagnostic center, a radio-surgery center, an addition to the outpatient physical therapy building and a loop road with shuttle stops for patients.
The nine-story Heart Hospital building offers advanced cardiac care, a range of cardiovascular services as well as a trauma center. The Heart Hospital, designed by St. Louis-based Christner Inc., features 96 private in-patient rooms, nine procedure laboratories, five operating rooms for cardiac thoracic and vascular surgeries, cardiovascular diagnostic services, in-patient cardiac services, cardiac rehabilitation, physician offices, outpatient laboratory services, educational resources and wellness programs, nutritional services, clinical trials and pediatric medical cardiology consultative services.
The Heart Hospital has become a vital part of the St. John's Mercy system, offering a number of advanced heart care services not available anywhere else in the region.
