PROJECT DETAILS
613,000-sf, three-level children's hospital including a 215-bed patient tower, ancillary facility, central plant, administrative office building and complete infrastructure on a 52-acre site.
Beyond the precise requirements of the healthcare facility, the project incorporated unique and complex interior finishes. To appeal to the young patients, bright colors and special lighting were integral elements in the building's design, in conjunction with a design theme called "our universe." McCarthy made extensive use of mock-ups for best results.
