Our Work

Recreational Facilities

At McCarthy, we understand the construction needs of today’s college and university campuses are growing more sophisticated every day, and not only in the classroom. Students and faculty require the same superior performance from recreational facilities that they expect from their everyday classrooms, complex research laboratories, and other educational facilities on campus.

As a national leader in higher education construction, McCarthy has over 50 years experience constructing a wide variety of projects on college and university campuses, including a number of recreational facilities that feature everything from gymnasiums and weight rooms, to jogging tracks, racquetball courts, and more.

Safety on Campus

Like all the projects McCarthy works on, safety is our number one priority when constructing recreational facilities. Working on college and university campuses raises unique safety challenges such as tight construction sites and busy pedestrian walkways – challenges that McCarthy has gained years of experience handling while working on an array of higher education construction projects across the nation. Our experienced safety professionals work throughout the course of the project to ensure the recreational facilities or other campus construction projects we are working on are kept safe for both our workers and the surrounding campus community.

Project Performance

At McCarthy, we understand what it takes to get the most out of any higher education construction project, which provides us with the ability to consistently complete projects on schedule, within budget and with minimal disruption to the surrounding campus community.  Here are just a couple examples of the recreational facilities McCarthy has worked on over the years:
