PROJECT DETAILS
This plant is one of the largest and newest "end-of-the-line" water reclamation plants in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The sewage treatment plant expansion included a new facility to provide treatment capacity of approximately 16 mgd of liquids and 24 mgd equivalent solids. Project successes included meeting the needs of three owners (city of Mesa, town of Gilbert, and town of Queen Creek), and collaborating with two design engineers.
The Arizona Water and Pollution Control Association selected the project as the Wastewater Project of the Year.

"Working for a client that involves numerous stakeholders can be challenging. The overall design and construction process at the Greenfield Water Reclamation Plant was one of close collaboration and expert coordination. The team effort paid off with a project that made the owner happy and is a huge source of pride for Carollo and the McCarthy/Sundt team."
