Amanda Corbet Promoted to Southern California Sr. Manager of Contracts & Community Outreach
Southern California team member takes on new role to elevate client service and support MWBE partnerships
McCarthy has promoted Amanda Corbet to Senior Manager of Contracts and Community Outreach for its Southern California Division. Corbet will serve as a key team member supporting client relationships and McCarthy’s commitment to diversity through work with Disabled Veterans, Small, Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MWBE).
Corbet began her career with McCarthy over 10 years ago, first assisting in the field as a Project Engineer and later becoming a Project Manager overseeing construction operations. Corbet has background in managing small- and large-scale projects in an array of areas including education, healthcare, research laboratories, and parking such as the San Diego County Administrative Center Waterfront Park. Through this experience, she gained extensive knowledge of field operations, enabling her to develop and streamline contract and procurement processes for McCarthy’s southern California division.
In her new role, Corbet expand our relationships with small business and DVBE/MWBE clients that will support McCarthy’s commitment to establishing a diverse network of industry partners. She will also lead community outreach efforts for Southern California and look to establish strong relationships and provide educational opportunities for subcontractors and community leaders in the area. In addition to these external efforts, Corbet will continue her role of integrating efficient processes within McCarthy that will elevate the company’s client and project communications.
“Since joining McCarthy in 2006, Amanda has made an exceptional impact on our day-to-day operations, allowing our division to become a more authentic and focused partner in our community,” said Sarah Carr, vice president education services at McCarthy. “Her experience and ability to build strong relationships will be an asset in her new role and for McCarthy’s Southern California team as we look to support small business and promote diversity within our trade partners.”
In addition to her position at McCarthy, Corbet is a co-founder and membership chairperson for Women in Construction Operations (WiOPS) and a member of Associated General Contractors (AGC) and U.S. Green Building Council. She is also DBIA and LEED AP BD+C certified.
