McCarthy Building Companies office in Denver

McCarthy clients, industry partners and community representatives recently gathered to celebrate not only the opening of McCarthy’s 15th office across the United States, but also McCarthy’s ongoing commitment to providing enhanced client experiences in the Denver region.

“Having a permanent office in Colorado provides easy accessibility for McCarthy’s existing Colorado clients and strategically positions the company to better serve new customers in one of the fastest-growing and most economically vibrant regions in the nation,” explained McCarthy Vice President, Operations Jeff Wood.

With a presence in Colorado spanning the last 25 years, McCarthy has witnessed firsthand the tremendous population growth along the Front Range, with vertical building and infrastructure projects continuing to be constructed. To date, McCarthy has delivered more than $1.2 billion worth of construction in Colorado, including the new Children’s Hospital Colorado, Children’s Hospital Colorado East Tower Addition and Renovation, St. Mary’s Hospital Century Project, University of Colorado Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion, and the University of Colorado Hospital Critical Care Tower.

“Page welcomes McCarthy to Denver,” said Page Principal Joshua A. Theodore. “Having partnered with McCarthy on over 1 million square feet of successful projects, we look forward to continuing this relationship on the Front Range and beyond.”

Currently, McCarthy is working on projects for the Southern Delivery System for Colorado Springs Utilities, Metro Wastewater Reclamation District and within the Renewable Energy Market. Director of Business Development Katy Corrigan explains, “This location is a long-term commitment that allows us to better serve our existing clients and new clients, particularly in the healthcare, education, commercial, parking, water/wastewater and solar markets.”

To ensure McCarthy’s ability to meet the demands of each of these markets, the team has also welcomed Drew Jackson as vice president of preconstruction. Jackson joins McCarthy having previously served as pursuit director for a large general contractor in the mountain region. In his new role, Jackson will oversee the successful completion of all preconstruction phases of projects and pursuits, including estimating, construction feasibility, value engineering, and design-build project management. Jackson’s responsibilities will also include strategic marketing, planning and business development. He will work closely with the design team and clients to further enhance McCarthy’s preconstruction capabilities and ability to deliver certainty.

“We are grateful for the support from our partners and clients in this market,” said Jackson. “We are focused on the future of the area and excited to be part of the continued growth and success of Colorado.”
