Dan Zivan is a Director of Business Development for McCarthy's Renewable Energy and BESS groups, based in Phoenix, Arizona.
With over two decades of experience spanning finance, risk management, and project procurement across Arizona’s public utilities and the commercial banking industry, Dan brings a distinct perspective to supporting McCarthy’s clients through a previous owner’s lens.
A solution builder at heart, Dan aims to thoroughly understand the pain points, goals, and operational needs of each developer before applying McCarthy’s EPC capabilities to best address those needs. He is committed to supporting clients through innovative building strategies and leveraging McCarthy’s internal expertise to deliver positive outcomes tailored to every project, developer, utility, and offtaker.
Dan’s background in risk analysis and credit review has shaped his approach to establishing strong project foundations and mitigating risk. His involvement with the International Energy Credit Association and the North American Power Credit Organization, reflects Dan’s approach as a collaborative, industry-first team leader. Outside of work, Dan is passionate about giving back to the Phoenix community and remains a frequent volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Through his award-winning barbeque talents, he aims to create a sense of community and care among families receiving medical treatment.
Originally from New York, Dan proudly calls Arizona home. He holds dual bachelor's degrees from Arizona State University in Global Business with a Finance emphasis and Accounting. He earned his Master of Business Administration with a Finance emphasis from Grand Canyon University.
