Jaren Murphy

As President of McCarthy's National Water Group, Jaren sets the strategic direction for the company's national water and wastewater business, guiding its project portfolio, client relationships, and long-term vision in alignment with evolving municipal needs and industry advancements. A driving force behind the continued growth and evolution of the Water Group, Jaren leverages his deep expertise and collaborative leadership to deliver complex infrastructure solutions for clients nationwide, building on McCarthy's position as a trusted partner in water and wastewater construction.

As the group's executive leader since 2024, Jaren has been instrumental in expanding McCarthy's water business as a national program, strengthening the operational and business development foundation that supports the group's continued growth. He has helped foster a culture of mentorship and continuous learning across the national group, growing its capabilities and client relationships across the country.

Jaren joined McCarthy in 2013 as a project engineer before ultimately advancing through operations, preconstruction, and business development roles, before elevating to lead the water group in 2024. 

Jaren has helped lead McCarthy's charge on Advanced Water Purification as a national thought leader and is an active participant in WateReuse National, WateReuse California, and AZ Water, and regularly engages clients, engineers, and utility leaders across the industry. He holds a bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Brigham Young University.
