Antonya Williams

Antonya Williams currently serves as the Regional Chief Strategy Officer for the firm’s Southwest region. In her role, Antonya is focused on informing and shaping the strategy for the region’s future, while aligning with the firm’s national outlook. With nearly two decades of experience, Antonya holds invaluable industry knowledge, relationships, and strategic foresight.
Her passion for the construction industry started in high school where she operated equipment, installed finishes, and prepared estimates for her dad’s construction company. She has held many diverse roles since joining McCarthy, including project engineer, project manager, director of design integration and leading the Southwest region’s business development and marketing team. Before becoming regional chief strategy officer, Antonya was the business unit leader for the region’s education building group. She was responsible for business direction and team performance across all education projects in the state of Arizona. These projects included state-of-the-art laboratories, new K-12 schools, and major projects across community college campuses.
She is currently the executive sponsor of McCarthy’s Partnership for Women, and previously served as the executive sponsor for McCarthy’s Heart Hats® program which focuses on community giving. She is most proud of the work she has done related to creating inclusive and engaged cultures at work and building support for mentoring programs. She continues her passion for mentoring as the Chair for the Arizona affiliate of the ACE Mentoring Program.
Her notable accomplishments include being named one of Engineering News Record’s National Top 20 under 40 in 2017, one of AZ Business and AZRE magazines’ Most Influential Women in Arizona in 2018, and most recently recognized as Phoenix Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2022.
