Dhruv Patel

As President and Chief Operating Officer, Dhruv Patel is responsible for strengthening alignment across McCarthy’s regional and national businesses to drive greater consistency across the business and deliver exceptional results for clients. In addition to broad operational leadership, he also provides executive oversight for core corporate functions. 

Dhruv began his career with McCarthy in 2013, playing an instrumental role in the growth and evolution of the firm’s Renewable Energy group to deliver high-performing, sustainable energy solutions to clients nationwide. His vision, leadership and passion for building strong teams were pivotal in helping scale the company’s renewable energy portfolio from a $20 million renewable energy business to more than $2 billion, positioning McCarthy as one of the nation’s premier solar and battery storage contractors.  

Throughout his career, Patel has held a variety of roles across the project life cycle, from preconstruction to operations. In 2024, Patel was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and in 2025 to President of McCarthy’s Renewable Energy Group, where he was responsible for strategic leadership for all renewable energy projects and teams across the United States. He assumed his current role in 2026. 

Patel holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University. He previously served as a Leadership Circle Member in the Energy Storage Association and was recognized as a national 2026 Engineering-News Record Top 20 Under 40 winner.
