Jay Yost transitioned to the McCarthy business development team in 2017, bringing along a decade of construction and preconstruction experience from his career with the company. He began with McCarthy as a project engineer and ultimately served as preconstruction director before transitioning into his current role. He now focuses on the principles of stakeholder value and organizational effectiveness to develop and lead high-performing pursuit teams while building strong client relationships to seek new business opportunities.
Jay is an active board member with the CREATE Mentoring Program, which focuses on inspiring high school students interested in pursuing careers in the built environment. He also is a general board member for The Center for Fathers and Families and holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Minor in Business Administration from from Sacramento State University and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Point Loma Nazarene University.
