Kristine Newman

Kristine Newman currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for McCarthy Holdings, Inc. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing accounting, finance and insurance components of the enterprise including cash management, investments, spiral allocation, internal audit, financial reporting and risk management.

Newman joined McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. in 2005 as controller for McCarthy’s Southwest Region and moved up through the organization, serving as executive vice president, finance prior to assuming the CFO position in 2022. She began her career with Arthur Andersen LLP, working on audit and consulting engagements in the firm's Chicago and Phoenix offices. 

Newman earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Purdue University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 

Recognized as 2023 Executive of the Year with the Construction Financial Management Association Valley of the Sun (CFMA) and a Most Influential Woman in Commercial Real Estate (AZ Business Magazine, 2019), Newman is active in a variety of civic and community organizations. She participates on the national committee for the Partnership for Women, McCarthy's inclusion resource group dedicated to recruiting, developing and retaining women. She also currently serves on the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce board of directors and as audit committee chair, is past president and current member of CFMA, and is past chair of the board of directors for UMOM New Day Centers in Phoenix.
