    Ray Sedey oversees all McCarthy activities in Texas and Atlanta. Through his expertise and leadership, Sedey has been a mentor to many throughout the company, overseeing the day-to-day activities of McCarthy’s Las Vegas, Albuquerque and Denver offices prior to assuming his current role in Texas. He has positioned himself as a valuable resource to owners and project partners on large-scale construction projects in a variety of markets including water/wastewater, solar, healthcare, hospitality, education, transportation, commercial, public and private markets.

    Ray displays great passion and commitment to the construction industry, as well as to the community. He plays an active role in the community through his involvement with the American Heart Association, Dallas Regional Chamber and is also involved with various industry organizations.

    A long-time Houston construction leader, Jim Stevenson brings more than 35 years of construction industry experience and leadership to his role as role as president of McCarthy’s Houston Division, including experience in many of the firm’s key markets such as healthcare, education and commercial. Jim's diverse experience includes project management, safety, risk management, business transactions, contracts and human resources.

    A long-time Associated General Contractors (AGC) Houston supporter, Jim currently is serving on both the Board of Directors and Executive Board. He is also chairman of an important Houston industry initiative called the Construction Career Collaborative (C3), which is developing strategy and implementing criteria to create a sustainable craft workforce.

    Mike Schulte oversees McCarthy’s Marine & Industrial business in the Southern Region. In his role, Mike is responsible for all port, petrochemical, and oil and gas clients across the Gulf Coast with a vigilant focus on safety, client-focused delivery and operational excellence. Prior to assuming this role, Mike helped transform the McCarthy Southern Region into a high-performing business as the financial leader of the region. 

    With extensive experience in various roles and industries, Mike’s background includes leadership roles with financial, marketing, research and development, and operations teams. This experience, as well as his previous focus on mergers and acquisitions, allows him to bring a diverse skill set to our Marine & Industrial business. Mike serves on the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) board in Houston and is also active in the Life Message charity organization in Dallas.

    As Vice President in Houston, Preston Hodges leads business development and client service efforts in the region. He joined McCarthy as a Project Manager, moving up to Senior Project Manager before being named Project Director in 2016. During this time, Preston was instrumental in launching the McCarthy Specialized Solutions Group in 2014, serving the specific project needs of the Texas Medical Center and surrounding institutions.

    In addition to his responsibilities with McCarthy, Preston is an active member of the AGC of Houston, AGC Construction Futures Committee, American Society of Healthcare Engineers, American Hospital Association, served on the AGC Construction Leadership Council Board and is currently serving on the Champions for Children Texas Children’s Cancer Center board. Volunteer projects include working with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Texas Children’s Hospital and the American Heart Association. Preston is a licensed Certified Healthcare Constructor and holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate.
