    Ray Sedey oversees all McCarthy activities in Texas and Atlanta. Through his expertise and leadership, Sedey has been a mentor to many throughout the company, overseeing the day-to-day activities of McCarthy’s Las Vegas, Albuquerque and Denver offices prior to assuming his current role in Texas. He has positioned himself as a valuable resource to owners and project partners on large-scale construction projects in a variety of markets including water/wastewater, solar, healthcare, hospitality, education, transportation, commercial, public and private markets.

    Ray displays great passion and commitment to the construction industry, as well as to the community. He plays an active role in the community through his involvement with the American Heart Association, Dallas Regional Chamber and is also involved with various industry organizations.

    A long-time Houston construction leader, Jim Stevenson brings more than 35 years of construction industry experience and leadership to his role as role as president of McCarthy’s Houston Division, including experience in many of the firm’s key markets such as healthcare, education and commercial. Jim's diverse experience includes project management, safety, risk management, business transactions, contracts and human resources.

    A long-time Associated General Contractors (AGC) Houston supporter, Jim currently is serving on both the Board of Directors and Executive Board. He is also chairman of an important Houston industry initiative called the Construction Career Collaborative (C3), which is developing strategy and implementing criteria to create a sustainable craft workforce.

    Wendell Rychlik brings vast experience and knowledge to his role as vice president of business development for McCarthy’s Civil Business Unit. His responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with owners, clients, engineers, trade partners and suppliers across all heavy and civil engineering construction market sectors including transportation, transit, marine, industrial and water infrastructure.

    Having worked in this market for the last twenty years, Wendell has a vast network and comprehensive marketing strategy that he leverages to help grow the business and expand the presence in the industrial market along the Gulf Coast. His professional affiliations include the Associated Builders and Contractors multi-term elect to the board of directors and the Construction User’s Round Table. He also serves on the International Liquid Terminal Association Exhibitor Counsel and is affiliated with the Southwest Association of Rail Shippers.

    As Vice President in Houston, Preston Hodges oversees the McCarthy Specialized Solutions Group, as well as leads business development and client service efforts in the region. He joined McCarthy as a Project Manager, moving up to Senior Project Manager before being named Project Director in 2016. During this time, Preston was instrumental in launching the McCarthy Specialized Solutions Group in 2014, serving the specific project needs of the Texas Medical Center and surrounding institutions. Since the group’s rollout, McCarthy has successfully executed more than $80 million in work for these clients.

    In addition to his responsibilities with McCarthy, Preston is an active member of the AGC of Houston, AGC Construction Futures Committee, American Society of Healthcare Engineers, American Hospital Association and served on the AGC Construction Leadership Council Board. Volunteer projects include working with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Texas Children’s Hospital and the American Heart Association. Preston is a licensed Certified Healthcare Constructor and holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate.

    As Vice President, Operations for McCarthy in Texas, Bob Rogers oversees the firm’s Marine business unit, managing all marine and port client relationships and projects in Texas and across the Gulf Coast.

    Bob joined McCarthy in 2000 as project engineer. Throughout his career, he moved up to project superintendent, manager and director before assuming his current role in 2016. With a focus delivering exceptional quality for clients in the marine and port marketplace, he has contributed to the success of a variety of projects including work with the Port of Houston, the MARAD Beaumont Layberth Facility and a variety of others.
