    As President for McCarthy's Central Region, John Buescher oversees McCarthy operations in 29 states east of the Rockies. With nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry, he has played an instrumental role in delivering an exceptional experience for clients in a variety of markets including healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and education. Working his way up at McCarthy from assistant project superintendent to project superintendent, project manager, project director and business unit leader prior to assuming his current role, John is a professional mechanical engineer and LEED Accredited Professional with the United States Green Building Council. He also holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate from American Society for Healthcare Engineering.

    Since joining McCarthy in 2001, Erin Valentine has worked closely with the firm’s clients and project teams to develop new solutions to enhance project delivery. Erin’s efforts encompass multiple initiatives within McCarthy's Central Region. She actively works within the education and commercial markets for hospitality, housing, office, entertainment and related developments, including leadership of efforts with state and local governments, particularly in the justice sector.

    In addition, Erin is actively involved with numerous industry organizations including US Green Building Council, Construction Management Association of America, Associated General Contractors of America, Commercial Real Estate Women Network, Society of College and University Planning, American Institute of Architects, Missouri Municipal League, Missouri Association of Counties and American Correctional Association.

    As Vice President of Operations, Ryan leads all commercial, advanced technology and manufacturing and local education work for McCarthy's Central Division. With almost 20 years of experience in the construction industry, he oversees project performance throughout the life cycle of a job, focusing on creating an exceptional client experience. Ryan began his career at McCarthy as a project superintendent, was promoted to project manager, then shifted into a role as Director of Business Development before assuming his current position. Ryan serves on the board of FamilyForward, a St. Louis-based charity fighting child abuse and neglect. He holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and was named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 class of 2015. In 2017 he was included on Building Design + Construction’s 40 Under 40 list.

    As Vice President of Operations for McCarthy's Central Division, Doug oversees all healthcare and out-of-town education work. He monitors project performance throughout the lifecycle of a job with a continual focus on client satisfaction. With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, he has spent the majority of his career working to develop strong team relationships on complex projects. He began his McCarthy career as a project engineer, also holding positions as a field superintendent, project manager, senior project manager and project director before assuming his current role. Doug has participated in more than $3 billion of completed construction projects across America. He holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Illinois.

    Josh Gaghen helps manage client relationships within McCarthy's Federal business unit. He also helps integrate design partners on Federal design-build projects. Based in St. Louis, his focus includes the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, General Services Administration and other Federal Agencies. Josh brings a variety of experience to his role including serving as a Civil Engineering Officer in the U.S. Air Force before working as an engineer in the private sector for nearly a decade.

    An active member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Josh serves as the college outreach chair for SAME, Scott Field Post and as treasurer for the Air Force Academy Association of Graduates, Gateway Chapter.

    Jennifer Bradshaw is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing healthcare industry and community partners. With more than 13 years of construction-related and marketing management experience, she brings this experience to bear for McCarthy's Central Division. Working across a multi-state region, Jennifer works closely with current and potential clients and partners to ensure that McCarthy is surpassing expectations.

    Active in the industry, Jennifer is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) and a board member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services, St. Louis Chapter.
