    Named regional president in January 2018, Mike reports directly to McCarthy President and COO Scott Wittkop. Mike formerly served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Castle Contracting for more than 16 years. During his tenure as COO of Castle, he was responsible for all field and office operations as well as the business development and estimating functions. Under his leadership, Castle has grown to a highly successful business with over 200 employees. After the McCarthy acquisition of Castle in late 2014, Mike became Executive Vice President and a member of the McCarthy Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to his relocation to California, Mike was also associated with the ACE Mentor Program of St. Louis, AGC of Missouri, Eastern Missouri Laborers and the Flags of Valor organization.

    As Executive Vice President and Office Leader for McCarthy’s Southern California region, Paul Erb oversees all company services across Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties. Having joined McCarthy in 2004 and holding integral roles including vice president of San Jose operations and San Jose Office Leader, Paul brings more than two decades of experience in the building industry to his role.

    Paul has overseen the construction of some of Northern California's marquee projects and worked with a variety of clients including Stanford University, Apple, and the University of California, Berkeley, among others. Paul currently spearheads a leadership team dedicated to growing and supporting the communities of the greater Los Angeles area. Known for his skill as a consensus builder focused on forming strong project teams, he is active in several industry and community organizations and holds a LEED AP BD+C designation from the United States Green Building Council.

    With over 25 years of experience in business development and marketing, Tuyet is vice president of business development in McCarthy’s Los Angeles office and an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Having previously served as the vice president of business development out of San Francisco, she has secured successful multi-million-dollar healthcare and science & technology projects while directing overall development of strategic relationships with clients and analyzing market assessments across California. Other strengths include marketing plans and analysis, business development strategy and mentoring marketing and project staff on submittals.

    Michael Kim oversees the total integration of design-phase services and construction execution while providing strategic planning and guidance during the design effort, focusing on the client experience. With more than 28 years of experience in the design and construction industry, Michael uses his knowledge to build relationships through mutual advocacy, design leadership and alignment of project vision and goals. Michael helps all project stakeholders achieve success by listening, building consensus, and helping teams prioritize needs that ensure exceptional experiences for all. Michael is a California state registered architect, a certified member of the American College of Healthcare Architects, a LEED AP accredited professional, a certified DBIA member, a member of the American Institute of Architects and the American Society for Healthcare Engineers.

    Matt Lawson brings more than 24 years of construction, estimating and preconstruction experience to his role as Vice President, Preconstruction for McCarthy’s operations in Los Angeles. His exceptional client focus and extensive estimating expertise help ensure high levels of client satisfaction. He is known for setting high standards for himself and his teams and is a key mentor of new and senior estimators, with a focus on lean technologies and practices. He has held a number of preconstruction leadership roles within McCarthy, including Senior Preconstruction Director of McCarthy’s San Diego office, prior to his current position.

Erik’s ensures success for clients and project stakeholders through his intense focus on exceptional client experiences, passion for building high-performing teams and perseverance in the face of challenges. He has held a number of field and leadership positions, including serving as a project executive prior to his current role.
