    Since joining McCarthy in 2001, Erin Valentine has worked closely with the firm’s clients and project teams to develop new solutions to enhance project delivery and consistently deliver exceptional experiences to clients in all markets across McCarthy’s Central Region. As Vice President, Erin leads the building and managing of relationships with clients in the Healthcare, Commercial, Education and Advanced Technology & Manufacturing markets.

    Erin is an active advocate for women in the construction industry and serves on the national committee for the McCarthy Partnership for Women employee resource group. She is also actively involved with numerous industry organizations including the St. Louis Forum, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), International Facility Management Association (IFMA), US Green Building Council, Construction Management Association of America, Associated General Contractors of America and the Design-Build Institute of America.

    Alec Banta serves as the Senior Vice President and Business Unit Leader of the McCarthy Northern Pacific Region’s San Jose office. He oversees the progress of client projects and team operations to thoroughly integrate McCarthy’s various departments, including preconstruction, design management, scheduling, accounting, safety, quality control, and risk management to ensure immediate and long-term success for all key stakeholders over a project’s lifetime.

    With more than 17 years of industry experience, Alec brings extensive expertise and executive-level oversight to the McCarthy project teams and clients as he continues to demonstrate outstanding leadership and a vast knowledge of project process. Keen on assembling high-performing teams with complimentary skillsets and can-do attitudes, he has guided various McCarthy clients across verticals like life sciences and technology, higher education, parking, and retail, overcoming challenges and delivering projects that exceed client expectations.  

    Since joining McCarthy in 2005, Alec has worked in a variety of highly technical market sectors and has supported over $2 billion dollars of project work, most notably the Westfield Valley Fair Mall Expansion in San Jose that topped the San Jose Construction Projects List.

    Paul King has more than 15 years of business development and marketing experience for the construction industry where he has focused on healthcare, commercial, parking structure, education, and specialty projects. In his role as vice president, business development, he is responsible for overseeing the business development and marketing team in Southern California while maintaining client relationships, developing the strategy for project pursuits, building strong project pursuit teams and seeking out new business opportunities throughout the region.

    In addition to his responsibilities with McCarthy, Paul is a former board member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services Orange County and San Diego County Chapters and served as a committee member for Design-Build Institute of America Western Region. He also has been involved with various philanthropic programs including the Boys and Girls Club, Warrior Foundation Freedom Center, March of Dimes and the American Heart Association along with supporting the philanthropic efforts of McCarthy clients including Sharp Healthcare, Scripps Health and Rady Children’s Hospital.

    Ryan Molen serves as the buildings market business unit leader for McCarthy’s Central Region. Ryan specializes in client solutions in the healthcare, education, commercial, and advanced technology and manufacturing sectors. He is a 25-year construction professional experienced in the design and construction of complex facilities for private and public clients as well as federal clients, including Department of Energy, General Services Administration and Department of Veterans Affairs. Ryan has been involved in more than $600 million in projects since joining McCarthy in 2010 and has a focus on collaboration and innovation. He is a LEED AP BD+C accredited professional and a member of Associated General Contractors of America and the Construction Management Association of America.

    Justin Peterson oversees company operations for McCarthy in Colorado. With two decades of industry experience, he has spent the past 14 years helping to deliver more than $875 million in construction solutions for clients across Colorado’s Front Range and Western Slope. Justin’s deep understanding of the Colorado construction marketplace and commitment to developing and maintaining strong relationships with area trade partners have helped him deliver exceptional results for clients in the region.

    Justin began his career with McCarthy in the field as a project engineer, moving up to assistant project superintendent, superintendent, project manager and project director before assuming his current role. His range of experience includes healthcare, solar, commercial office, education and more, with clients including Children’s Hospital Colorado, Denver Health, Sisters of Charity Leavenworth, Silicon Ranch and Kaiser Permanente. He holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering and McCarthy’s ICC Class A General Contractors licenses. An avid outdoorsman, Justin is also active with Larimer County Boys & Girls Club, Ft Collins Vipers Lacrosse, and NFL Play 60 Flag Football.

    Scott Lawrence oversees management and operations for McCarthy’s Atlanta office as well as coordinating preconstruction strategy while serving as the client interface. Scott began his McCarthy career 20 years ago working in the field as a project manager in the Southern California Region. He has helped deliver more than $640 million in construction projects for clients across the country.

    Scott has a depth of experience specifically within commercial office and healthcare building with clients including Children’s Hospital Tennessee, UCLA Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente and Sunset Bronson Studios. In addition to his role at McCarthy, he is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and the Design-Build Institute of America.

    A LEED Accredited Professional, Charlie is a licensed architect in the states of Texas and Missouri. In addition to being an active member of TEXO and the American Institute of Architects, he also serves on the board of directors of Mi Escuelita and the Dallas Regional Chamber Economic Development Taskforce.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the AEC industry, Adam began his career in architecture before transitioning to construction. He has significant experience in design-build project management and business operations. He is committed to providing the highest possible level of client satisfaction through deft management of the process, planning, technology, and integration of teams. The Minnesota native lives in Denver with his wife and growing young family. They enjoy volunteering at the local animal shelter and spending time with their two rescue dogs.

    Mike Gonzalez oversees McCarthy’s Integrated Design Delivery process in the Southwest, including design integration, constructability and design reviews, dynamic estimating, trend log management and virtual design and construction. During his 25-plus year career, he has worked with clients in a variety of industries including life science, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial, power, hospitality, healthcare, commercial, parking, high-technology and higher education. His experience also includes more than 20 years as a specialty subcontractor installing process mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems maximizing prefabrication and modularization of systems.

    Mike has served for more than 28 years as a United States Army Engineer officer, where he is currently a colonel in the Arizona Army National Guard commanding the Regional Training Institute. A LEED Accredited and DBIA Professional, he is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Design-Build Institute of America, Mechanical Contractors Association of America, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association, and Alliance for Construction Excellence, and serves on the Industry Advisory board for Arizona State University E. Webb School of Construction and Western Maricopa Education Center HVAC program.

In addition to his responsibilities at McCarthy, Nick is actively involved in NAIOP, CoreNet Global, Urban Land Institute, RECON, SPUR and non-profit organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America and Rebuilding Together.

He worked previously as a construction development manager, project manager and project engineer and has done volunteer work with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America in the St. Louis region.
