    As Senior Vice President, Business Unit Leader, Preston is responsible for establishing long-lasting relationships with clients and partners as well as leading McCarthy’s commercial operations in Houston and Austin, Texas. He possesses strong ties to the south Texas market and brings a depth of experience in both public and private sectors, including many of the firm’s key markets. 

    Prior to his promotion to Senior Vice President, Preston served as Vice President and led business development and client service efforts in the business unit. Preston has held several different positions over the past decade at McCarthy within operations and business development. 

    In addition to his responsibilities with McCarthy, Preston serves on the board of the AGC of Houston, Construction Career Collaborative (C3), and Champions for Children. He is a member or committee member of the AGC Construction Futures Committee, American Society of Healthcare Engineers, and American Hospital Association. Preston is a licensed Certified Healthcare Constructor and holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate.

    As vice president of the Industrial market of the Central Region, Aaron works closely with the firm’s industrial clients in the region and oversees the strategy and growth for the firm’s regional industrial portfolio. He joined McCarthy’s preconstruction team in 2012, eventually moving to lead the industrial preconstruction team before being named vice president. Today he brings two decades of experience to help industrial clients achieve outstanding project results. Prior to joining McCarthy, Aaron worked in the mechanical contracting industry on both the preconstruction and field execution sides in the Midwest.

  • Fitz O’Donnell

    Fitz serves as the Marine Business Unit leader for the Channelview, TX office and McCarthy’s Southern Region. He is responsible for the strategy and opportunities for McCarthy in the Houston Ship Channel, Texas Gulf Coast, and beyond.  

    Fitz began with McCarthy in 2008 as an assistant project manager but has a total of over 22 years of industry experience. Upon joining McCarthy, he worked on a variety of marine, water treatment plant, and heavy civil construction projects, serving in multiple leadership positions before assuming his current role in 2019.  

    Fitz holds a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in both Texas and Mississippi and is a member of multiple industry organizations including the PDCA Texas Chapter, Houston Port Region Economic Alliance, and more. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.

    Jonathan brings over 15 years of Heavy Civil and Marine construction experience to his role in McCarthy’s Southern Region. He is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with partners doing business in the Heavy Civil, Marine and Ports market sectors. Before joining McCarthy, he worked on a wide range of projects along the Southern Atlantic and Gulf Coasts as a project engineer, project manager, estimator and in business development. Jonathan holds OSHA 30 Hour Hazard Recognition and PADI Rescue Diver certifications, and is an active member of the WEDA Gulf Coast Chapter, Economic Alliance of the Houston Port Region, Lonestar Harbor Safety Committee and the Maritime & Logistics Youth Expo. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from Texas A&M University.
