    Paul King is responsible for maintaining client relationships, developing the strategy for project pursuits, building strong project pursuit teams, and seeking out new business opportunities in the San Diego region. He brings nearly 13 years of experience in the construction industry.

    In addition to his responsibilities with McCarthy, Paul is a former board member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services Orange County and served as a committee member for Design-Build Institute of America Western Region. He also leads McCarthy’s Heart Hats philanthropic focus in San Diego.

    As a vice president in McCarthy’s Northern Pacific Division, Frances Choun develops and maintains business relationships with clients throughout the region. Her strong leadership has greatly contributed to the division’s overall growth, and after almost two decades with McCarthy, has helped propel us forward as one of the largest commercial contracting firms in California.

    Frances launched her career in architecture, where she developed an interest in the construction side of the business. Her exposure to the construction industry eventually led to her career transition. As an industry expert, she is regularly called upon by local, trade and national media to address new and projected trend, and is considered a pioneer in advancing women in the construction field. She was recently honored as a “Forever Influential Woman of Influence in Business” by the San Francisco Business Times.

    Having served in many leadership capacities for professional industry groups, Frances is the past president of the Commercial Real Estate Women’s (CREW) San Francisco Chapter, former president of the board for the San Francisco Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center, and recent board member of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) San Francisco Chapter. She is currently on the construction management advisory board for the City College of San Francisco.

    Kurt Knebel is Executive Vice President for McCarthy’s Texas Division, overseeing the firm’s Civil business unit in the region. With more than 30 years of experience working on infrastructure construction in Texas, he is responsible for all McCarthy civil, transportation and marine projects throughout the state.

    Kurt has spent his entire career in the heavy civil construction industry collaborating with a variety of state and federal agencies including the Texas Department of Transportation, North Texas Tollway Authority, Dallas Area Rapid Transit and the Army Corps of Engineers, along with various municipalities and private entities. This depth of industry knowledge, together with his understanding of the unique quality, safety and environmental, construction and project delivery requirements of these projects, has helped firmly establish McCarthy as a builder of choice in the Texas civil construction market.

    In addition to his role with McCarthy, Kurt is a member of the AGC of Texas, serving as a member of the Alternate Delivery Task Force, and chairing the AGC/CTRMA task force.

    With more than 15 years of industry experience in business development and operations, Sam Stiteler serves as a Director for Business Development for McCarthy in the Southeast. With primary focus on Science & Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Clean Industrial, Marine and Aviation segments, Sam works closely with clients, potential clients and concept/design partners to ensure McCarthy is surpassing expectations.

    Sam has long served both nationally and locally with Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), including currently serving as the National Chairman of ABC Safety Committee, Industrial Steering Committee Chair for the 2017 ABC Users Summit, a Free Enterprise Alliance (FEA) Trustee and a member of the National Business Development Committee. On the local level, Sam has served multiple terms on the ABC Georgia Chapter Board of Directors, including serving as 2014 Chapter Chairman.

    As Vice President, Operations for McCarthy in Texas, Bob Rogers oversees the firm’s Marine business unit, managing all marine and port client relationships and projects in Texas and across the Gulf Coast.

    Bob joined McCarthy in 2000 as project engineer. Throughout his career, he moved up to project superintendent, manager and director before assuming his current role in 2016. With a focus delivering exceptional quality for clients in the marine and port marketplace, he has contributed to the success of a variety of projects including work with the Port of Houston, the MARAD Beaumont Layberth Facility and a variety of others.

    A 30-year construction veteran, Aaron Alhady is responsible for securing new business and fostering relationships with clients throughout the greater Sacramento region. Aaron joined McCarthy in 1989 where he worked in the operations department for the company's Southern California and Sacramento offices, serving clients in the healthcare, higher education, K-14, parking structure and hospitality, markets.
