An active supporter of the local community, he has served on the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Real Estate Committee Advisory Board of Directors, the legislative committee of the Civic Council of Kansas City, the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Advisory Board of Directors of the Urban Land Institute. Jeff is a LEED accredited professional and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

    As President for McCarthy's Central Region, John oversees McCarthy operations in 29 states east of the Rockies. With nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry, he worked his way up at McCarthy from assistant project superintendent to project superintendent, project manager, project director and business unit leader prior to assuming his current role. John is a professional mechanical engineer and also holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. John has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.

    As the McCarthy Kansas City Market Leader, Seth Kelso is responsible for strategy and near-term opportunities for McCarthy in the Kansas City market. Seth brings over two decades of experience in the construction industry to his role, including serving as the project director on the award-winning BSL4 National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility and a CDC project. Seth is a Kansas City native and attended college at Pittsburg State University.

    As the McCarthy Kansas City office operations leader, Steve Meuschke is responsible for making sure projects meet our client's expectations and goals. Steve brings nearly two decades of experience in the construction industry to his role, including serving as the project manager on the award-winning Mercy Hospital Joplin replacement facility in Joplin, Mo. He also played integral roles on a variety of other major McCarthy projects, including the Dairy Farmers of America dryer plant and renovation of the Spencer Chemistry and Biological Sciences Building at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Steve holds LEED AP BD + C and OSHA 30-Hour Construction & Health certifications.

    Ryan Sawall serves as the Business Unit Leader of the Omaha and Kansas City Offices for McCarthy in the Central Region. In this role, Ryan is responsible for overseeing all markets that McCarthy currently services, including Healthcare, Education, Advanced Technology/ Manufacturing, and Commercial. His teams execute on a wide range of project deliveries from Job Order Contracting, CMAR, and Design-Build. Ryan joined McCarthy in 2005 to work on healthcare projects and has since worked in various parts of the region in many field roles and leadership roles prior to assuming his current role in 2014. Ryan’s most recent project is the Omaha Veterans Ambulatory Care Center, ENR’s 2021 National Project of the Year.

    Along with being licensed as a Professional Mechanical Engineer, Ryan is LEED AP BD+C certified through the U.S. Green Building Council and holds a certification as a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) through the National Hospital Association. A strong local community supporter, he is passionate about introducing young adults to possible construction careers and assisting local, small, and diverse construction companies as they grow in the industry.
