    Since joining McCarthy in 2001, Erin Valentine has worked closely with the firm’s clients and project teams to develop new solutions to enhance project delivery. Erin’s efforts encompass multiple initiatives within McCarthy's Central Region. She actively works within the education and commercial markets for hospitality, housing, office, entertainment and related developments, including leadership of efforts with state and local governments, particularly in the justice sector.

    In addition, Erin is actively involved with numerous industry organizations including US Green Building Council, Construction Management Association of America, Associated General Contractors of America, Commercial Real Estate Women Network, Society of College and University Planning, American Institute of Architects, Missouri Municipal League, Missouri Association of Counties and American Correctional Association.

    With nearly two decades of construction experience, Sean Miller’s career has encompassed managing operations and field construction teams on large, complex projects throughout Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wyoming. This broad, hands-on construction experience in a wide-range of markets and project delivery methods allows him to better advise and collaborate with clients and business partners through the design and construction phases of their projects. In his current role as business development director, Sean collaborates to help clients in healthcare, parking structures, justice, municipal and aviation achieve their business and community goals through construction projects. He is LEAN Green Certified through the University of Pittsburgh and holds a Healthcare Construction Certification.

    John McRitchie oversees McCarthy’s Commercial Services and Education Services Business Units in Southern California. This work includes office, airport/transportation, entertainment, water/wastewater, solar, industrial and correctional facilities, as well as K-12 education, community college and higher education throughout the region.

    John is focused on providing our clients and partners with skilled, collaborative teams who understand and address their needs. He brings extensive experience in technically complex projects, proven design phase and construction expertise, and commitment to an integrated approach to help deliver projects throughout the region. With nearly 25 years of experience in design integration and construction, he is a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). In addition, John is actively involved in the community, supporting local charities such as CHOC, Ronald McDonald House, and Taller San Jose, a non-profit providing construction career training to disadvantaged youth.

    Paul King is responsible for maintaining client relationships, developing the strategy for project pursuits, building strong project pursuit teams, and seeking out new business opportunities in the San Diego region. He brings nearly 13 years of experience in the construction industry.

    In addition to his responsibilities with McCarthy, Paul is a former board member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services Orange County and served as a committee member for Design-Build Institute of America Western Region. He also leads McCarthy’s Heart Hats philanthropic focus in San Diego.

    With more than 15 years of industry experience in business development and operations, Sam Stiteler serves as a Director for Business Development for McCarthy in the Southeast. With primary focus on Science & Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Clean Industrial, Marine and Aviation segments, Sam works closely with clients, potential clients and concept/design partners to ensure McCarthy is surpassing expectations.

    Sam has long served both nationally and locally with Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), including currently serving as the National Chairman of ABC Safety Committee, Industrial Steering Committee Chair for the 2017 ABC Users Summit, a Free Enterprise Alliance (FEA) Trustee and a member of the National Business Development Committee. On the local level, Sam has served multiple terms on the ABC Georgia Chapter Board of Directors, including serving as 2014 Chapter Chairman.

Aaron joined McCarthy in 1989 where he worked in the operations department for the company's Southern California and Sacramento offices, serving clients in the healthcare, higher education, K-14, parking structure and hospitality, markets.

    Jim Madrid has more than 31 years of operations and business development experience for the construction industry including management for industrial, transportation, commercial, advanced technology, life sciences and energy projects. In his role as executive vice president, he is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients and partners in McCarthy's Southern California Division with a focus on the commercial group for the Newport Beach office. McCarthy's commercial group delivers work in the transportation, water/wastewater, hospitality, correctional and government markets, as well as commercial building opportunities.

    Jim is an active member of the Coalition of Adequate School Housing (CASH), CMAA and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE).

    Josh Gaghen helps manage client relationships within McCarthy's Federal business unit. He also helps integrate design partners on Federal design-build projects. Based in St. Louis, his focus includes the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, General Services Administration and other Federal Agencies. Josh brings a variety of experience to his role including serving as a Civil Engineering Officer in the U.S. Air Force before working as an engineer in the private sector for nearly a decade.

    An active member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Josh serves as the college outreach chair for SAME, Scott Field Post and as treasurer for the Air Force Academy Association of Graduates, Gateway Chapter.

He brings more than a decade of business development and marketing experience in the Santa Clara area construction industry to his role as director of business development at McCarthy. In addition to his responsibilities at McCarthy, Nick is actively involved in NAIOP, CoreNet Global, Urban Land Institute, RECON, SPUR and non-profit organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America and Rebuilding Together.
