    John McRitchie oversees McCarthy’s Commercial Services and Education Services Business Units in Southern California. This work includes office, airport/transportation, entertainment, water/wastewater, solar, industrial and correctional facilities, as well as K-12 education, community college and higher education throughout the region.

    John is focused on providing our clients and partners with skilled, collaborative teams who understand and address their needs. He brings extensive experience in technically complex projects, proven design phase and construction expertise, and commitment to an integrated approach to help deliver projects throughout the region. With nearly 25 years of experience in design integration and construction, he is a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). In addition, John is actively involved in the community, supporting local charities such as CHOC, Ronald McDonald House, and Taller San Jose, a non-profit providing construction career training to disadvantaged youth.

    Scott Canada oversees McCarthy’s renewable energy projects in the Southwestern U.S., with a focus on the solar marketplace. Since joining McCarthy’s Solar Team in 2009 as a preconstruction director, he has helped position McCarthy as an industry leader in solar design and construction. Scott has nearly two decades of experience in the energy industry and is certified as an Energy Manager and Power Quality Professional through the Association of Energy Engineers, along with holding his LEED AP BD+C designation.

    Early in his career, Scott gained renewable energy experience with renewable energy working for Arizona Public Service. He expanded his knowledge by managing large utility scale EPC solar projects and overseeing a detailed utility impact study on the value solar brings to utility distribution, transmission and generation systems. Today, Scott’s deep technical understanding of the solar marketplace is something clients and partners have come to count on in this continuously evolving marketplace.

    With more than 15 years of industry experience in business development and operations, Sam Stiteler serves as a Director for Business Development for McCarthy in the Southeast. With primary focus on Science & Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Clean Industrial, Marine and Aviation segments, Sam works closely with clients, potential clients and concept/design partners to ensure McCarthy is surpassing expectations.

    Sam has long served both nationally and locally with Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), including currently serving as the National Chairman of ABC Safety Committee, Industrial Steering Committee Chair for the 2017 ABC Users Summit, a Free Enterprise Alliance (FEA) Trustee and a member of the National Business Development Committee. On the local level, Sam has served multiple terms on the ABC Georgia Chapter Board of Directors, including serving as 2014 Chapter Chairman.

    As Senior Vice President of Operations for McCarthy in the Southwest, Chris Nickle is responsible for healthcare, renewable energy, parking and other public projects in the region. Since joining McCarthy in 2000, he has accumulated a wealth of experience in complex construction projects with an emphasis on the healthcare sector and public projects. He has also been instrumental in expanding McCarthy’s solar construction team from a total of 21 MW projects in 2010 to more than 600 MW today.

    Chris is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering, Central Arizona Society for Healthcare Engineering and the Arizona Builders Alliance. In addition, he is a board member for East Valley Partnership. Chris was named one of the “Top 20 under 40” professionals in 2014 by Engineering News-Record Southwest.

    Dhruv Patel currently serves as vice president of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) within the company’s Renewable Energy team. In this role, he oversees design and procurement of equipment and leads supplier and subcontractor selection and negotiation nationally for McCarthy’s renewable projects. Dhruv brings his experience with renewable and conventional power plants, transmission line, and substation design and construction to assist clients considering solar and energy-related projects across the country. His familiarity includes site identification and acquisition, financial analysis, permit and design management, EPC contract negotiation, regulatory strategy, capital budget management, procurement of equipment, supplier and subcontractor selection, negotiation and compliance reporting.

    Tad Lewis develops and maintains business relationships with clients and partners in the Houston area and throughout the Texas Gulf Coast. With more than 38 years of experience in the construction industry, Lewis offers knowledge of educational and liturgical facilities, retail complexes, healthcare facilities, commercial office buildings, hotels, museum and fine arts, retirement communities and multi-family housing. His extensive experience includes estimating, subcontract negotiations, project administration, cost control and scheduling. 

    A LEED Accredited Professional, Tad has served as a board member of Rice Design Alliance, Associated Builders and Contractors Greater Houston Chapter and AGC Houston. He is also active in NAIOP, CoreNet, USGBC, AGC, CHPS, CEFPI, SMPS and ULI.
