The 170,000-square-foot renovation of Durham Science Center, a teaching and laboratory building, includes all new HVAC system, new lighting, electrical distribution panels and generator replacement, installation of lab gas safety shut-offs, all new drop ceilings, additional of two mechanical penthouses and two vestibules, select architectural classroom renovations, and roof replacement.
Construction was completed in two main phases with one half of the building being occupied at all times.
