One of the most architecturally challenging and unique projects McCarthy has completed is the 34-story North Tower of the W Dallas Victory Hotel and Residences. This 780,000-square-foot project includes 252 luxury hotel guest rooms, 64 condominiums, a two-story spa and fitness center, outdoor "infinity" swimming pool and signature top floor "Ghost Bar" entertainment destination with cantilevered glass balcony.
Other project features include a six-level 500+ space parking garage, 21,614 square feet of street level retail, and central utility plant.
The W presented unique challenges due to the stacking of four distinct uses (parking, retail, hotel, and condominiums) into a single high rise structure on a very tight site. Construction of the concrete frame included atypical structural elements to support the building in a manner that maximized the building’s efficiency for each use.
Dallas now has a striking new addition to its cityscape, and much of the credit goes to McCarthy's PERSEVERANCE.
